I just love meeting people like Marina and Omar. Full of energy, ready to laugh but also shy at times, especially Omar who sometimes won’t look in the lens even prompted. He might be a touch shy so Marina is more than happy to intervene with a witty thing to say (or a poke) to keep the things both on track and on the light side of things. As you’ll see, stories like these always happen with a guy holding a ring, one knee down and this one is no exception alas this was no surprise. The ring was though! Great job Omar!
As we went on with our engagement photo shoot, we got to try a few things, loosen up and laugh quite a bit. We even set up a little “film-noir thing” on the Mississauga’s City Center grand staircase.
Here’s a snippet of the session. Enjoy!

When Brada contacted us thru Facebook inquiring about our availability we were both happy and pleasantly surprised. We photographed Ryan’s sister’s, Amanda, wedding last year so we are really looking forward being part of the family’s celebrations again this year. This was perhaps the most rescheduled engagement session I’ve ever shot due to a variety of unexpected scheduling conflicts and truly uncooperative weather… At some point it almost appeared we would be forced to scrap all plans but a small window of opportunity miraculously appeared and jumped on it. What’s funny is that after all the delays and rescheduling, we were so in sync this day we even got stuck together on HWY 410 rush hour traffic on our route to our meeting point.
So, here we are in Kariya Park on a beautiful mid week day… fish are jumping… ducks and rabbits… the perfect setting…

More than a year after James’s surprise proposal In Niagara falls, we’re back with them for their wedding day. And what an awesome day it was ! Nice, clear, warm-ish weather allowed us the full use of the Belfountain Conservation Area and held until late at night when we went on Grand Victorian’s roof for a few cool night shots at the gazebo. Then, there was the party. Wild is perhaps a bit of an understatement…
Everyone pulled all the stops to make this day run like clockwork. Here’s a little taste of it.
Enjoy!

Back with K and M for their first wedding day. As ceremonies go, few approach the level of exacting detail this Hindu ceremony did. Sandra and I felt privileged to witness and document this warm, emotion filled event. Sandra even admitted shedding a few tears now and then…
Here’s a small selection of moments from the day.

This is a little bit of a teaser from the wedding we shot this past weekend. From the Toronto’s Metropolitan United Church, stunning place, home of the biggest organ in Canada (8233 pipes!) to Karyia Park where we caught the cherry blossom this was a perfect day, nine years in the making. That of course makes selecting anything for blog display a rather difficult task…
Congratulations Kim and Shawn!

This was one memorable Friday, when Roseanne and Matt tied the knot. The wedding day went very smoothly and right on schedule as follows: ceremony was held at St. Dominic’s Catholic Church, formals and some fun shots at the Adamson Estate and finally reception at Roma’s Banquet, all in Mississauga.

We started this engagement session in Centennial Park up in Brampton. That’s where Matt has popped the question so as always we started in a place that holds meaning to the couple. Later in the session we worked our way to Karyia Park, Mississauga. We couldn’t afford to miss the flowers, the bell and all that… Toward the end of the day it became quite windy, so windy Roseanne had a bit of trouble facing the wind with her eyes open but everyone soldiered on.
